So clearly I don't write on my blog as much as I used to... Partially it is lack of time, partly laziness, and partly the "era" of blogging seems to have somewahat simmered down a bit from its peak years. If I do keep writing, I'll have to start changing the content or the theme somewhat, as my training is finally coming to an end. Can you imagine? Yes. I am technically STILL training.... But alas, 4 years of med school, 3 years of residency, 3 years of fellowship, and now finally one final year of sub-fellowship later, I can attempt to enter the real world and get a full time job! Well its too bad that by the time I finally become a fully trained interventional cardiologist, the job market is so shitty, I may not even find the type of job I want, in the area I want! But I'll save that story for another day. For now, I am finally done with my 3 board exams I have taken over the last 4 months. Before I focus my efforts in securing my future, I am going to live up the moment while I have it.So I am off to South East Asia tomorrow!
My itinerary includes Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. I fly into Singapore to see my cousin, then a few days later with a whole crew of people, we hit up Koh Samui, Thailand. This island of great beaches, resorts, and partying. Perfect for New Year's Eve. After that I meet up with another friend to hit Hanoi, Vietnam where I will be several days, including a boat trip on Halong Bay. Finally I end up in Bangkok for 2 nights. My last night of the trip I am actually alone in Bangkok. And I don't know why everyone at work keeps telling me to "watch out for the lady-boys". People been watching too much Hangover 2!
