We arrive in Koh Sumai, in our dual propeller plane (that probablyh doesn't meet safety standards in most countries), and get shuttled to a terminal that's not more than a few tiki-esque huts with a couple of baggage conveyer belts underneath. We jump in our taxi, and swerve through the curvy and hilly small two lane main road about a hundred meters in from the ocean, lined with island flora, palm trees, random shops and island locals. Motorbikes and tuk-tuks fill the streets and everyone tries to overtake everyone. I can already feel the crisp hot air and the shining sun piercing down on the blue ocean - gotta love island life.
Koh Samui is one of the islands of Thailand, and has beautiful beaches, a warm ocean, and a lot of partying. Our resort, Kandaburi, spans deep from the beach back well past the main road. We settle in and head straight for the beach. The tides these days are abnormally high, so the beach area by the hotel is small, but a few meters walk down along the ocean we find a long stretch of beach with little restaurants, bars, and plenty of massage huts. After a dip in the warm ocean - which was nice and calm and shallow for 100 meters out - I immediately approach one of the little quaint huts on the beach and get a 60 min Thai massage for 200 bhat - or about 7$. What a deal!
After sunset drinks on the beach, we picked out some fresh seafood from one of the restaurants and chowed down before we were out late into the night dancing the night away!
Sleep. Wake. Repeat.

Hi,
You've put together a great post here! Sounds like you're having a great time in Samui. It's such a beautiful island - it's no wonder it's proving so popular with tourists at the moment.
Best wishes, Alex
